Bristol is a perfect 10-0 against MAST Community Charter since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Warriors will take on the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Bristol came out on top against Calvary Christian Academy on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive eight-run seventh inning. The Warriors were the clear victors by a 15-2 margin over the Cougars. The win was nothing new for the Warriors as they're now sitting on four straight.
Aubrey McIlvaine spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on three hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Bristol got a massive performance out of Luciana Snyder, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, six RBI, and two runs. Amirah Bell was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Bristol kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, MAST Community Charter got themselves on the board against Academy Park on Monday, but Academy Park never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Knights with a sharp 17-0 victory. The win was familiar territory for the Panthers, who have now won four games in a row.
Rylie Fitzsimmons and Jordan Jennings made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Fitzsimmons pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Jennings tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. At the plate, Fitzsimmons got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI, while Jennings fired off two home runs, four runs, and five RBI while going 4-for-4. That's the most home runs Jennings has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kiley McCammitt, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Bella Kaiser, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Bristol's record now sits at 9-1. As for MAST Community Charter, their record is now 12-2.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Bristol has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 13.3 hits per game. However, it's not like MAST Community Charter struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 3.9 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Bristol took their victory against MAST Community Charter in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 10-0 score. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
