Lakeside School has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge the Chambers Academy Rebels at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Alabama (Lakeside School is ranked 371st, while Chambers Academy is ranked 368th).
Lakeside School's game on Tuesday was all tied up 36-36 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a 76-60 bruising from Abbeville Christian Academy. Lakeside School has struggled against Abbeville Christian Academy recently, as their match on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Chambers Academy's seven-game losing streak came to an end on January 4th. They walked away with a 46-37 win over Coosa Valley Academy. The win was just what Chambers Academy needed coming off of a 54-26 defeat in their prior contest.
Lakeside School has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season. As for Chambers Academy, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-7.
Lakeside School beat Chambers Academy 55-44 in their previous meeting back in December of 2018. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lakeside School since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
