Jaylen Patterson went supernova for San Jacinto, rushing for 147 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries, while also throwing for 165 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 passes. Patterson was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 50 yards. Malachi Brown and his 81 yards on the ground were also a key factor in San Jacinto's win.
San Jacinto now has a winning record of 5-4. As for West Valley, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season.
San Jacinto will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Perris at 7:00 p.m. Perris will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 659th, while San Jacinto is ranked 130th). As for West Valley, they will head out on the road to face off against Citrus Hill at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th. Citrus Hill has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since August 24th.
