Softball Recap: Johnson Central Has No Trouble Against Martin County

While Johnson Central put up plenty of runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Martin County. The Golden Eagles blew past the Cardinals 15-0. Considering the Golden Eagles have won nine matchups by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Johnson Central is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-10 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Martin County, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-10.

Martin County has already played their next contest (against Betsy Layne), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Johnson Central will be paying especially close attention to the Cardinals' matchup: after the Cardinals face off against the Bobcats, they'll take on Johnson Central again at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
