The Worcester Academy Hilltoppers will head out to square off against Dexter Southfield at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
Worcester Academy is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Massachusetts' top teams: Deerfield Academy, who was ranked 12th at the time (Worcester Academy was ranked 21st). The Hilltoppers lost 13-3 to the Big Green on Saturday. The Hilltoppers haven't had much luck with the Big Green recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Worcester Academy got a good showing from Jackson Charney, who tossed 3.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and five unearned) runs off two hits. Charney has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, Worcester Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Taylor Reidy, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Dexter Southfield). They put the hurt on Phillips Exeter Academy with a sharp 15-5 win on Wednesday. With that victory, Dexter Southfield brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.
Matthew Blanusa looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits.
At the plate, Dexter Southfield let Seamus Condon and JT Taylor run wild. Condon went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs, while Taylor went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. Those two stolen bases gave Taylor a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Koski, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.
Dexter Southfield was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .424. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Phillips Exeter Academy only posted a batting average of .207.
The win made it two in a row for Dexter Southfield and bumps their season record up to 10-2. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Worcester Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 9-6.
Worcester Academy skirted past Dexter Southfield 2-1 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Will the Hilltoppers repeat their success, or do Dexter Southfield have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
