The Coventry Oakers will head out on the road to challenge the Middletown Islanders at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Coventry is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
Last Tuesday, Coventry came up short against the Falcons and fell 62-53.
Coventry might have lost, but man, Tyler Broady was a machine: he scored 19 points along with seven rebounds and four blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Moore, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Middletown's 19-7 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They were the victim of a rough 73-52 loss at the hands of South Kingstown on Tuesday.
Coventry's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-6. As for Middletown, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season.
Coventry came up short against the Islanders in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, falling 69-60. Can Coventry avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
