New York Military Academy moved up to 78 from 634 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Hudson Valley. The Knights were able to move up by defeating Harvey 50-24.
New York Military Academy led the league in scoring this week by notching 50 points on the Cavaliers.
Harvey's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Will Leventhal threw for 156 and 1 touchdown and Christian Artuso had 94 yards receiving. On the ground DeShawn Hilliard contributed 103 yards. Michael DePass helped Harvey's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 29 yards.
Mac Garnett made the biggest impact on defense this week as Forman fell to Dalton. The 6-foot-2 senior forced 1 fumble and racked up 1 sack.
Artuso was the best wideout in the league this week as Kevin Avery's team fell to Les Mcmillen's team. Artuso tallied 6 receptions for 94 yards. DePass helped Harvey's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 29 yards.
The leading receiver in the league this season is Artuso. The Harvey star has 13 catches for 189 yards.
A big matchup in Hudson Valley this week will be when Horace Mann takes on Dwight-Englewood. As it stands, the Lions are in second, while the Bulldogs are in third.
The Knights made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 14,357 from 14,415. The advance stemmed from a 50-24 victory over the Cavaliers last week.
