It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Lucas Christian Academy Warriors had no problem doing just that on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 60-36 margin over Trinity. The result was nothing new for Lucas Christian Academy, who have now won six matchups by 24 points or more so far this season.
Lucas Christian Academy was led to victory by Rylee Holman and Rylan Goss. Holman threw for 171 yards and five touchdowns, while Goss gained 149 total yards and three touchdowns. Blaise Simmons was another key contributor, gaining 87 total yards and a touchdown.
The win (which was Lucas Christian Academy's fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.3 points per game. As for Trinity, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
Lucas Christian Academy will take on Covenant Classical at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Covenant Classical has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 592 points over their last 11 games. Trinity does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
