The McPherson Bullpups entered their tilt with the Mulvane Wildcats with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. McPherson took their match at home on Friday with ease, bagging a 41-7 victory over Mulvane. That's another feather in the cap for McPherson, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Mulvane's loss came despite strong showings from Manny Myers and Lucas Sorensen. Myers threw for 118 yards and a touchdown, while Sorensen picked up 41 receiving yards and a touchdown.
McPherson has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for Mulvane, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.
McPherson will square off against Buhler at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Kansas (Buhler is ranked 57th, while McPherson is ranked 75th). Mulvane does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
