6A District 4 recap Sept. 26, 2012
St. Augustine extended the longest winning streak in 6A District 4 this week by beating Wolfson, 40-7. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Yellowjackets.
Bartram Trail's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. P.J. Blazejowski threw for 203 and two touchdowns and Gabe Davis had 60 yards receiving. On the ground Dillon Ragusa chipped in 52 yards. Nick Uruburu helped Bartram Trail's passing attack out by catching two balls for 56 yards.
The Bears' Blazejowski and Davis have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Blazejowski has thrown for 718 yards this season, while Davis, a 6-foot-0 receiver, has 13 catches for 231 yards. Jaques Riles from Lee leads the league in rushing with 306 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when St. Augustine takes on Stanton. Joey Wiles's team is currently in first, while the Blue Devils are in fourth.
The Yellowjackets made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 332 from 489. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 40-7 victory over the Wolfpack last week.
