The Sedan Devils will head out on the road to face off against the Cair Paravel Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Sedan had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 40 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They breezed by Flinthills on the road to the tune of 58-12.
Meanwhile, Cair Paravel took their match at home on Friday with ease, bagging a 74-28 win over Maranatha Christian Academy. Winning may never get old, but Cair Paravel sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
It was another big night for Jesiah Bonura, who rushed for 185 yards and three touchdowns on only five carries, and also picked up 40 receiving yards. Bonura was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 59 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Jase Pavlik, who threw for 68 yards and three touchdowns.
Sedan's victory was their third straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 4-4. Admittedly, the team didn't face the toughest opposition across those games, namely Flinthills, Cedar Vale/Dexter, and Yates Center. As for Cair Paravel, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.
