Newfane's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Capen Mac, who scored 10 points along with 9 rebounds. Ben Dickinson was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with 8 rebounds.
Niagara-Wheatfield's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Newfane, their loss dropped their record down to 2-1.
Niagara-Wheatfield will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Salamanca at 6:30 p.m. on December 21st. As for Newfane, they will head out on the road to face off against North Tonawanda at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
