The Biglerville Canners will take on the Delone Catholic Squires at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Biglerville is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.7 runs per game this season.

Biglerville saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aiden Hoffman, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one double. Hoffman is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games he's played. Gavin Althoff also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Meanwhile, Delone Catholic was able to grind out a solid win over Hanover on Thursday, taking the game 7-2. The victory continues a trend for the Squires in their matchups with the Nighthawks: they've now won four in a row.
Jack Wilson was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over seven innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Delone Catholic is 4-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 4-6 otherwise. Wilson was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.
In other batting news, Zach Staub was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one double. He is becoming a predictor of Delone Catholic's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 5-7 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Mathew Mummert, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with three RBI.
Delone Catholic now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Biglerville, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.
