In what's become a running theme this season, the Westside Rams gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They put the hurt on Greenville with a sharp 61-39 win. The win was nothing new for Westside as they're now sitting on ten straight.
Westside got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Khalia Hartwell out in front who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds and two blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Ahrianna Scott, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Despite the loss, Greenville still got an impressive performance from Kayla Gaston, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds. That was a full 35.9% of Greenville's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Chloe Briggs, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds.
Westside's victory was their tenth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-3. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 27.8 points. As for Greenville, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-13.
Coincidentally, Westside and the Red Raiders will both be playing the Eagles the next time they take the court. Greenville will head out to face Greenwood at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, while Westside will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
