Gulfport has gone 9-1 against Biloxi recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Admirals will be playing at home against the Indians at 7:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Friday.
Biloxi will square off against a team with plenty of momentum: Gulfport extended their winning streak to four on Friday. The Admirals took their contest with ease, bagging a 42-14 win over West Harrison. Considering the Admirals have won three games by more than 27 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
The match pitted two dominant backs against one another in Cooper Crosby and Jordan Stapleton. Crosby had a great game and gained 167 total yards and three touchdowns. Meanwhile, Stapleton was balling out in the loss, rushing for 68 yards and one touchdown, while also catching one score.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Biloxi). Everything went their way against Harrison Central on Friday as they made off with a 31-6 victory. The Indians have beaten the Red Rebels the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Red Rebels has come to flipping the script.
Gulfport better keep an eye on Jordan Ramsey. He was instrumental in Biloxi's win, throwing for 220 yards and one TD, while also rushing for 39 yards.
Biloxi's run defense was locked in: Harrison Central could only muster -0.8 yards per carry. The team can thank William Lai for the heroic effort on defense: he. Biloxi's run defense has been on the up-and-up: they allowed 4.55 yards per carry earlier this season, but they've only allowed 5.1 on average over their last five games.
Biloxi didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jakaiden Smith and Lai.
Biloxi's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-5. As for Gulfport, their victory bumped their record up to 5-2.
Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Gulfport has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 169.9 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Biloxi struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 161.9 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Gulfport strolled past Biloxi in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 by a score of 21-7. Will the Admirals repeat their success, or do the Indians have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
