Silverton has gone a perfect 10-0 against Crescent Valley recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Foxes will be playing in front of their home fans against the Raiders at 4:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
On Wednesday, Silverton got the win against West Albany by a conclusive 13-3. Considering the Foxes have won nine matches by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Mckenzee Petersen made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in May of 2024. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one RBI.
In other batting news, Silverton got a massive performance out of Hannah Houts, who went 3-for-5 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. Madalynn Ehrens was another key player, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with three runs, one double, and one RBI.
Silverton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .523. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as West Albany only posted an OBP of .314.
Meanwhile, Crescent Valley fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against South Albany on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Redhawks by a score of 12-11. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Abby Kessler was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Emily Hansen, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.
Silverton is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Crescent Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-14.
Friday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Silverton hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .338. However, it's not like Crescent Valley struggles in that department as they've averaged .313. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Silverton's way against Crescent Valley when the teams last played back in April, as Silverton made off with a 15-0 victory. Do the Foxes have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Raiders turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
