The crowd came for a game on Friday, and McBee and Timmonsville sure delivered. It was a game that couldn't have wound up any closer, but McBee snuck past Timmonsville for the 23-22 victory. The success made it back-to-back wins for McBee.
McBee's offense had trouble getting into gear in the first half and closed the half with zero points. Timmonsville couldn't get anything started offensively, either, which meant the halftime score sat untouched at 0-0. The offense for McBee put that tie to bed by coming up with 23 points in the second half to win the game.
The win bumped McBee's record up to 2-6. Timmonsville are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.
Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Next week McBee will take on Lamar at 7:30 PM. Those two teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous games. Timmonsville will be staying on the road, facing off against Great Falls. Both of those teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
