Flora extended their winning streak to four on Monday, bumping them up to 4-3. They had just enough and edged out the Richland County Tigers 4-2. This was payback for the Wolves, who suffered a 6-3 defeat the last time these two teams met.

As for Richland County, their loss dropped their record down to 5-2. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

For Richland County's part, Taylor Bloomer was huge no matter where she played even without the win. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the fewest hits Bloomer has allowed since back in May of 2025. She was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one home run and two runs. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Flora will host Carmi-White County at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wolves are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Richland County, they will welcome Effingham at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers will need to watch out since the Flaming Hearts have now posted at least ten runs in their last three matchups.
