Basketball Recap: Carter Hoffman Key Part of a Team Effort in Rebels Win

Rich won the last time they faced Manila and things went their way on Saturday too. The Rich Rebels came out on top against the Manila Mustangs by a score of 60-53.

Rich's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Carter Hoffman, who went 8 of 10 on his way to 21 points. That's the most points Hoffman has posted since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Ridge Lundgren, who went 7 of 11 on his way to 20 points and six rebounds.

Manila's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Wyatt Muir, who went 7 of 14 on his way to 19 points and five assists. Ben Lail was another key player, putting up 15 points.

Rich's record now sits at 6-2. As for Manila, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-5.

Rich wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 77-39 victory against St. Joseph on the 3rd. As for Manila, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 60-51 loss against Tintic on the 3rd.
