The Goldsboro Cougars stacked a ninth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They breezed by Princeton on the road to the tune of 60-18. The victory was just business as usual for Goldsboro, who after 14 games remain undefeated this season.
Leading Goldsboro to victory were Des'Myah Croom and Aziyah Boyer. Croom dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten steals, while Boyer scored 21 points along with nine rebounds and eight steals. Boyer hasn't dropped below 15points for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Nashiyah Williams, who scored 12 points along with five steals.
Goldsboro pushed their record up to 14-0 with that win, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Princeton, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Goldsboro will take on North Johnston at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. North Johnston will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 244th, while Goldsboro is ranked 46th). As for Princeton, they will be playing at home against Spring Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
