Little Kanawha recap October 8, 2013
Parkersburg Catholic was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fourth to second in Little Kanawha. The Crusaders vanquished Doddridge County 15-6 earlier in the week.
St. Marys added to the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Williamstown, 32-13. The win marks fifth in a row for the the Blue Devils.
The Bulldogs' dynamic duo of David Lipscomb and Jarrod Sandy proved tough for Parkersburg Catholic to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Lipscomb threw for 58 yards and 1 touchdown and Sandy had 47 yards receiving. Ryan Hass helped Doddridge County's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 26 yards.
David Gray was a passing and rushing force as St. Marys topped the Yellowjackets.
Gilmer County's Austin Cunningham and Austin Ratliff have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-2 quarterback Cunningham has thrown for 1,093 yards this season, while Ratliff has 35 catches for 367 yards. Doddridge County's Wyatt Ford leads the league in rushing yards with 862.
The Titans are currently in fifth, while Bobby Burnside's team is in sixth.
Braxton County took down Liberty 39-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
