Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Spanish River). They put the hurt on the King's Academy Lions with a sharp 6-1 win on Monday. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Sharks' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 204th, while the Lions are ranked 86th).

Spanish River's offense was hitting King's Academy from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Paulo Victor Gallo led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

The win got Spanish River back to even at 4-4-2. As for King's Academy, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 5-2-1 record.

Spanish River didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against West Boca Raton on the 10th. As for King's Academy, they will take on Cardinal Newman at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
