Campbellsville extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 14 on Tuesday, dropping them down to 0-13. They came up short against the Marion County Knights, falling 15-5. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 16-1 to the Knights when the teams met back in May of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.
MyLeah Read was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Lilly Harris was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
As for Marion County, their victory ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-13. They not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 31st (when they won 18-3).
On Marion County's side, Eleanor Stewart spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits. Stewart has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.
At the plate, Addison Garrett was a standout: she got on base in four of her five plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and one double. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kendall Thompson, who went 1-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Campbellsville will square off against Glasgow at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Marion County, they will host Elizabethtown at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
