Loveland took care of business in their home opener on Friday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Horizon Hawks. The Red Wolves have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Hawks, too.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-22, 20-25, 25-20.

When it comes to explaining why Horizon lost, don't look at Sarah Vaness. Despite the final result, she had 19 digs and two aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Reese Hudson, who had 11 digs and three aces.

Having lost for the first time this season, Horizon fell to 4-1.

Coming up, Loveland will take on Lewis-Palmer in a tournament on Saturday. After both having extra time off, Horizon and Valor Christian will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:30 p.m. on September 9.
