Frontier only won by two when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 47-point they dealt Bridgeport on Thursday. Frontier took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 63-16 victory over Bridgeport. Given Frontier's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 262nd, while Bridgeport is ranked 781st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Frontier relied on the efforts of Grace Knowlton, who scored 20 points along with seven assists and two steals, and Morgan Haught, who scored 29 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Haught has scored all season. Kelsey Dye was another key contributor, scoring four points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Meanwhile, Federal Hocking had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29.3 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They blew past Eastern, posting a 63-23 win at home. Federal Hocking has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 22 points or more this season.
Frontier is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. As for Federal Hocking, they pushed their record up to 12-3 with that victory, which was their tenth straight at home.
