The Plainville Cardinals will head out on the road to square off against Logan/Palco at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Plainville is no doubt hoping to put an end to a 17-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Last Monday, Plainville suffered a rough 49-24 defeat at the hands of Hill City. Plainville has struggled against Hill City recently, as their matchup on Monday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Logan/Palco scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They took down Weskan 64-48.
Logan/Palco's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ansley Delimont, who scored 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenzie Wells, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Plainville's loss dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Logan/Palco, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 7-9 record this season.
Plainville and Logan/Palco were neck-and-neck when the teams last played back in January of 2023, but Plainville came up empty-handed after a 36-35 loss. Can Plainville avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
