Basketball Recap: Landen Parker Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Victoria West

On Tuesday, the Fort Bend Kempner Cougars didn't have too much trouble with the Victoria West Warriors as they won 44-30. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cougars.

Fort Bend Kempner got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Landen Parker out in front who posted eight points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals. The dominant performance gave Parker a new career-high in steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Coby Wilson, who went 5 of 8 on his way to 11 points.

Fort Bend Kempner smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in five consecutive contests.

Fort Bend Kempner has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a massive bump to their 12-10 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.2 points per game. As for Victoria West, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-13.
