The Madras White Buffaloes were the 51-41 winner over the Elma Eagles when they last played one another back in December of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. Madras fell to Elma 59-54.
AJ Holmes was his usual excellent self, scoring 18 points along with eight rebounds for Elma. The game was Holmes' fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Traden Carter, who scored ten points along with three steals.
Madras' loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Elma, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season.
Madras will be home for the holidays to greet St. Helens at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. St. Helens is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games. Elma will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Dallas at 1:30 p.m. on December 16th.
