After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Sweetwater, Sequoyah was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Maryville Christian Eagles by a score of 12-9. The Chiefs haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Aiden Cochran and James Lynn did most of the damage at the plate: Cochran got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run, while Lynn got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs and one double. That stolen base marked the first that Cochran has snagged this season. Another player making a difference was Conner Ogle, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI.

Sequoyah always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .629. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Maryville Christian only posted an OBP of .371.

Sequoyah's victory bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Maryville Christian, their loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sequoyah will challenge Webb at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Maryville Christian, they will square off against William Blount at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
