Basketball Recap: Ethan Nevinski Key Part of a Team Effort in Rockets Win

Maplewood posted their biggest win since February 27, 2024 on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Chalker Wildcats as the Maplewood Rockets made off with a 55-30 victory. The Rockets have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wildcats, too.

Maplewood's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ethan Nevinski, who went 8 for 18 on his way to 19 points and five rebounds. The game was Nevinski's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenyan Clover, who posted 12 points.

Maplewood smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Maplewood's victory bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Chalker, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.

Maplewood didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, an 87-57 loss against Bristol on the 10th. As for Chalker, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 43-42 defeat against Mathews on the 10th.
