Meade River took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against Nuiqsut Trapper, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Eagles came out on top in a nail-biter against the Trappers on Friday, sneaking past 3-2. Winning may never get old, but the Eagles sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Meade River wouldn't go down easily and took Nuiqsut Trapper into a fifth set where they got it done with a nine-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-18, 22-25, 24-26, 15-6.

Meade River's victory bumped their record up to 12-7. As for Nuiqsut Trapper, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last ten matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season.

Meade River didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Kali on the 14th. Hopefully Nuiqsut Trapper paid attention to the Eagles' contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Eagles at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
