Carle Place is 10-0 against Oyster Bay since February of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Carle Place Frogs will be home for the holidays to greet the Oyster Bay Baymen at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Carle Place has three straight wins, Oyster Bay has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Last Saturday, Carle Place beat Locust Valley 41-30.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Carle Place to victory, but perhaps none more so than Milana D'alessandro, who scored 12 points. Those 12 points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Caitlin Leary, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, Oyster Bay had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of East Rockaway by a score of 31-29. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Oyster Bay in their matchups with East Rockaway: they've now lost three in a row.
Carle Place's win ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-2. As for Oyster Bay, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Everything came up roses for Carle Place against Oyster Bay when the teams last played back in January as the squad secured a 55-19 victory. Does Carle Place have another victory up their sleeve, or will Oyster Bay turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
