The Lake Creek Lions and the Port Neches-Groves Indians squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Lake Creek Lions had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Indians by a score of 30-27. Lake Creek's defeat signaled the end of their 12-game winning streak.
Port Neches-Groves can attribute much of their success to Shea Adams, who rushed for 26 yards and two touchdowns, and also picked up 70 receiving yards.
Lake Creek's loss dropped their record down to 12-1. As for Port Neches-Groves, the win (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 12-1.
Lake Creek does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Port Neches-Groves will face off against Huntsville at TBD on Friday. Huntsville will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
