The Apponequet Regional Lakers came tearing into Tuesday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against Seekonk as Apponequet Regional made off with a 66-42 win. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 37-12.
Caiden Sears and Lucas Pereira certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Sears scored eight points, while Pereira scored six points along with nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Declan Lush, who scored two points along with seven rebounds.
Apponequet Regional is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Seekonk, they dropped their record down to 4-8 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Apponequet Regional will take on Dartmouth at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Seekonk, they will be playing at home against Dighton-Rehoboth Regional at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
