Despite the defeat, Kelly Walsh had strong showings from Jack Nicholls, who scored 15 points, and Kadon Boyce, who scored seven points along with six rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Eager, who scored seven points.
Kelly Walsh has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for Rock Springs, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-9.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kelly Walsh will take on Evanston at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Evanston knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three contests -- so hopefully Kelly Walsh likes a good challenge. As for Rock Springs, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Green River at 6:30 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Wyoming (Green River is ranked 33rd, while Rock Springs is ranked 31st).
