The Cape Henry Collegiate Dolphins's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 58-23 loss at the hands of Bayside. Cape Henry Collegiate was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 31-11.
Leading Bayside to victory were Micala Poe and Jessie Ware. Poe scored 17 points along with six assists and six steals, while Ware dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten steals. Ware is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Rayani Jones, who scored 12 points along with two blocks.
Cape Henry Collegiate's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-4. As for Bayside, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
Cape Henry Collegiate will head out on the road to face off against Walsingham Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bayside, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Salem at 7:00 p.m.
