Meanwhile, Dobson's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fifth straight loss. They fell just short of Mountain View by a score of 2-1.
Skyline's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 2-9. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 0.3 goals per game. As for Dobson, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-9-1.
Skyline was able to grind out a solid win over Dobson when the teams last played back in January of 2023, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Skyline since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
