The Paoli Rams will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against the New Washington Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Paoli will be strutting in after a victory while New Washington will be coming in after a defeat.
Paoli waltzed into their contest two weeks ago with two straight wins but they left with three. They snuck past Barr-Reeve with a 37-32 win. Winning is a bit easier when you work as a team to rack up eight more assists than your opponent, as Paoli did.
Paoli's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Carley Higgins, who scored ten points. The matchup was Higgins' 11th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Lilly Hall, who scored ten points.
Meanwhile, New Washington pushed their score all the way to 60 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Trinity Lutheran 65-60.
The win got Paoli back to even at 6-6. As for New Washington, they bumped their record down to 4-10 with that loss, which was their sixth straight at home.
