The Camden County Wildcats waltzed into their contest Saturday with eight straight wins but they left with nine. They put the hurt on Oakleaf with a sharp 63-39 victory. Camden County might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won five contests by 21 points or more this season.
Among those leading the charge was Elyiss Williams, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of DeNigel Cooper, who scored eight points along with 14 rebounds and three blocks.
Camden County pushed their record up to 9-1 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Oakleaf, their defeat ended a 12-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 6-3.
Camden County will head out on the road to face off against Coffee at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Oakleaf will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Leesburg at 6:00 p.m. on December 28th. Leesburg is coming into the contest hot, having won their last six games.
