Tampa Catholic has enjoyed a four-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Brookwood Broncos at 1:10 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Tampa Catholic is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Brookwood in their respective states (Tampa Catholic is ranked 65th in Florida, while Brookwood is ranked 249th in Georgia).
Last Saturday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Tampa Catholic beat Wharton 47-41.
Tampa Catholic found their leader in underclassman Ashley Knox, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Khalia Woodley, who scored 16 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Brookwood's four-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 51-35 win over South Gwinnett.
Tampa Catholic's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-6. As for Brookwood, their victory bumped their record up to 5-13.
