In what's become a running theme this season, the Christian Community Colts gave their fans yet another huge win on Thursday. They breezed by South Haven Christian at home to the tune of 49-19. The victory was familiar territory for Christian Community who now have four in a row.
M.J. Dodd was nothing short of spectacular: she scored 20 points along with six rebounds and three steals. It was the first time this season that she scored 15 or more points. A.C. Caverly was another key contributor, scoring four points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Aliya Gagliano and Josie Gillilan certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Gagliano scored eight points along with 11 rebounds and seven blocks, while Gillilan scored nine points along with six rebounds. Gagliano is crushing the rebound category: she's posted at least nine every time she's taken the court this season.
Christian Community has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 16-9 record this season. As for South Haven Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-11.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Highland Rim Academy the next time they take the court. South Haven Christian will head out to face Highland Rim Academy at 6:45 p.m. on Friday, while Christian Community will host them at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday.
