In what's become a running theme this season, the Red Lake Warriors gave their fans yet another huge win on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 100-58 victory over Blackduck on the road. The win was nothing new for Red Lake as they're now sitting on five straight.
Gerald Kingbird jr was his usual excellent self, scoring 37 points along with five assists and four steals. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyrone Beaulieu Jr, who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and seven steals.
Red Lake's victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 99.0 points per game. As for Blackduck, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-9.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Red Lake will take on Pine River-Backus at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Blackduck, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Kelliher/Northome at 7:30 p.m.
