Volleyball Recap: Winamac Wins Going Away Against Argos

Winamac's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Argos Dragons. That looming 3-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Warriors yet this season.

Winamac never let Argos on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 26-24, 25-16.

Ava Malchow paced Winamac's offense, picking up eight kills. Malchow got some help from Abby Keller and her 23 assists. Grace Roth controlled things from the service line, finishing with 13 aces.

Winamac's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 5-17. As for Argos, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-14.

Winamac didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Rochester on the 2nd. As for Argos, they will take on West Central at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
