The Academy for Innovative Education Aviators will stay at home for another game and welcome the Cristo Rey Monarchs at 3:00 p.m. on December 18th. Academy for Innovative Education will be strutting in after a victory while Cristo Rey will be coming in after a loss.
Last Tuesday, Academy for Innovative Education earned a 41-30 win over Dade Christian.
Academy for Innovative Education relied on the efforts of Alexa Garofalo, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds, and Samantha Ayerdis, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds and six steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which Ayerdis has scored at least 25% of Academy for Innovative Education's points. Another player making a difference was Jazmin Grullon, who scored four points along with five assists.
Meanwhile, Cristo Rey had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They lost to Academy for Innovative Education on the road by a decisive 43-29 margin last Thursday.
Academy for Innovative Education's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-2. As for Cristo Rey, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
