Eisenhower is 0-3 against Hays since November of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Eisenhower Tigers will look to defend their home field against the Hays Indians at 7:00 p.m. Eisenhower will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak (dating back to last season) alive.
Eisenhower can now show off four landslide victories after their most recent game on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Andover 35-6 at home. Given Eisenhower's advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas football rankings (they are ranked 37th, while Andover is ranked 137th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Eisenhower's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Derek Morgan led the charge by throwing for 247 yards and four touchdowns while completing 74.1% of his passes. Lucas Dickman was another key contributor, gaining 111 total yards and two touchdowns.
Hays aren't just finding sucess at home, as their game on Friday extended their overall winning streak to five. They enjoyed a cozy 31-14 win over Valley Center.
Their wins bumped Eisenhower to 8-1 and Hays to 7-2.
Eisenhower came up short against Hays in their previous matchup back in October of 2021, falling 19-13. Will Eisenhower have more luck at home instead of on the road?
