The Churchill County Greenwave scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They blew past Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon, posting a 78-11 win on the road. Churchill County might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won four games by 34 points or more this season.
Churchill County found their leader in underclassman Jada Anastasio, who scored 11 points along with seven steals and five assists. Anastasio hasn't dropped below two steals for nine straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Raegan Johnson, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and three steals.
The victory (which was Churchill County's fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.2 points per game. As for Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.
Coincidentally, Churchill County and Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon will both be playing Needles the next time they take the court. Churchill County will head out to face Needles at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
