It was a good run, but the West Carrollton Pirates unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 36-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of Butler. West Carrollton was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Butler apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
Several Pirates players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Selena Frost, who scored seven points.
West Carrollton's loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Butler, their win bumped their record up to 9-4.
West Carrollton will be playing at home against Fairborn at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Fairborn is hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses. As for Butler, they will head out on the road to square off against Greenville at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Greenville will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 547th, while Butler is ranked 219th).
