ALLIE SCOTT made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
In other batting news, JANNA TAFLINGER was incredible, going 3-for-5 with five RBI, two doubles, and one run. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. TARA RILEY was another key player, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.
Rio Hondo Prep was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .382. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mayfield only posted a batting average of .231.
