The Fairfield Prep Jesuits will face off against the Danbury Hatters at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Fairfield Prep will be looking to extend their current 23-game winning streak.
Fairfield Prep is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Platt as they made off with a 12-2 victory. Considering the Jesuits have won 15 matchups by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Jack Buck looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four).
At the plate, Brady Cesseratto was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Ryan Ventrelle, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
Naugatuck typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Danbury proved too difficult a challenge. They put the hurt on the Greyhounds with a sharp 12-4 win. Danbury's victory was all the more impressive since the Greyhounds were averaging only 3.68 runs allowed on the season.
Danbury got a massive performance out of Jake O'Keefe, who went 2-for-5 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was O'Keefe's first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Dustin Pitti, who went 3-for-5 with one home run and two RBI.
Danbury lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Danbury's win bumped their record up to 11-13. As for Fairfield Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 26-1.
Saturday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Fairfield Prep hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .401. However, it's not like Danbury struggles in that department as they've averaged .338. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Fairfield Prep came up short against Danbury when the teams last played back in March of 2019, falling 6-2. Can the Jesuits avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
