It was a good run, but the American History Bald Eagles unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Monday. They took a serious blow against Newark/Marion, falling 59-20. American History was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-8.
Several Bald Eagles players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ashiyah Holliman, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Erica Lawson, who scored five points along with five rebounds and four steals.
American History's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-4. As for Newark/Marion, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
American History won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against McNair Academic at 4:30 p.m. on January 23rd. McNair Academic is out to stop a five-game streak of losses at home. Newark/Marion does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
